They are also thankful for constant messages from the brothers’ friends as well as others who have heard about them from around the world.

“They remember them and that helps us,” Martin said.

”I’m really grateful for the people that have surrounded us.”

”I think that’s the only thing that’s really kept us going, to be honest,” Debra, said,

“And it seems to grow, and we’re very grateful for that.”

Martin added that he misses “being able to talk to them”.

“I’ll read something or I’ll hear something, and…l (want to) pick my phone up and send them a message but I can’t do that now and I miss that so much,” he said.

Debra reflected their deaths “seem such a waste”.

“I’m not angry, I feel… that they don’t have a future… there’s no more, that’s a very hard thing to come to grips with,” she said.

The Robinson brothers and Jack Carter Rhoad were on a surf trip in Baja California, one of the country’s most violent states, when they went missing on April 27, 2024.

Local authorities began a search operation, which would span weeks.

A burnt-out ute eventually led police to find their bodies dumped inside a well near their remote campsite.

Police allege the Australians were killed in a “robbery gone wrong” but their execution-like killings raised suspicions that their deaths could be linked to organised crime.

Four Mexicans face charges in relation to their deaths.

The foundation aims to hand out charity grants and run programs “that complement Callum and Jake’s beliefs and passions”.

The funding will help initiatives such as coastal clean-ups, supporting diabetic athletes and lacrosse players- Callum played professionally.

They parents said they were grateful for support from the local community.

They posted online on the anniversary on Monday.

“We miss you boys beyond words,” a post from the boy’s parents Martin and Debra Robinson reads.
