Body discovered on boat moored on Perth Swan River

An investigation has been launched after a man’s body was discovered on a boat moored on the Swan River in Perth’s south.

Police were called to a boat at Blackwell Reach in Bicton about 4.15pm on April 24 where they found the body of a 51-year old man.

“Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of the man,” a police spokesman said.

Investigators are seeking CCTV that shows boats moored on the Swan River in the vicinity of Bicton and Mosman Park between March 26 and April 24.

Police are keen to see CCTV or vision from boat mounted cameras or dash-cameras that capture boats between Point Walter, Chidley Point Reserve, Bicton Quarantine Park and Russel Brown Adventure Park.

“Anyone with any information relating to this incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers,” a spokesman said.
