Woman charged with attempted murder after alleged attack on runner

A woman has been charged with attempted murder after she allegedly attacked a jogger on a walking trail in Melbourne. Police said a 24-year-old woman was running on the Merri Creek trail near Fitzroy North about 10.45 am yesterday, when she was allegedly attacked by another woman. The victim received serious head injuries, and her alleged attacker fled the scene. Police described the attack as unprovoked. Woman dies after being hit by a car following ‘altercation’ in Victoria’s north

Police are investigating a woman’s death after a fatal collision in Victoria’s north last night. Police were told that two people had been involved in a fight on a street in the northern Victorian town of Yarranwonga about 8.30pm. A 46-year-old woman attempted to intervene in the incident. Mapleton Falls Woman dies after falling 80 metres down Queensland waterfall

A 36-year-old woman has died after she fell down a waterfall at a Queensland National Park. Emergency services were called to Mapleton Falls National Park on the Sunshine Coast about 3.28pm yesterday after reports that a woman had fallen 80 metres down a waterfall. On arrival, paramedics found the woman with significant injuries in a life-threatening condition. An 18-year-old male was also taken to Nambour Hospital with minor injuries. Queensland police said the woman’s death was not being treated as suspicious. The woman’s death is the third at a Sunshine Coast waterfall this year. Source link
