Federal election 2025 live: Disgraceful scenes, ugly remarks in polling drama

Welcome to our live coverage of the final days of federal election campaign.

Labor MP Jerome Laxale has apologised after his dad made ugly homophobic remarks to a Liberal Party volunteer.

Mr Laxale is in a huge political fight to retain the Sydney seat of Bennelong.
