The most important women in Peter Dutton and Anthony Albanese’s lives have rolled out their final pitch to voters on the last full day of campaigning, outlining why each man would be better Prime Minister.

As the campaign enters its final 36 hours, the Prime Minister’s partner Jodie and Mr Dutton’s wife Kirilly Dutton have made a rare intervention in the campaign.

Writing in The Daily Telegraph, Mrs Dutton said her husband was “a listener” and knew the difference between “right and wrong and good and evil”.

While the Prime Minister’s fiance Jodie Haydon said Mr Albanese was “tough”, dismissing Coalition claims he was a weak leader.

The latest and final The Australian Financial Review/Freshwater Strategy poll for the campaign shows that two days from polling day, Labor is leading the Coalition on a two-party preferred basis by 51.5 per cent to 48.5 per cent.

While news.com.au revealed that secret ALP polling has outlined Mr Albanese’s path to victory on 72-78 seats in the 150-seat Parliament and the hit list of seats that will decide the election.
