A family with two young children inside fled for their lives. They can’t be identified.

“Everyone’s pretty traumatised by it,” one family member said.

A young girl said they heard multiple loud bangs before running downstairs.

A young girl grabbed her brother’s hand and jumped over the flames.

“[She] saved her brother’s life, because she’s a hero,” a woman said.

The family said they don’t know the alleged culprit.

Brandon Duncan, 22, has been arrested and charged with a list of serious offences.
