Queenland’s Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety has promoted its digital transformation director Erin Earle to lead overall technology delivery.
Earle officially took over the CIO position on March 17, filling a role held by Arthur O’Brien for the past four years.
She has worked across the various iterations of Queensland’s children’s services departments over the past 16 years.
According to her LinkedIn, she most recently held the title of senior executive director, of digital transformation.
In this role, Earle “worked on crucial ICT projects and programs including the department’s contract management system Procure to Invest and community recovery replacement systems,” a department spokesperson told iTnews.
The department’s corporate structure as of September 2024 also lists Earle as overseeing the Unify program, an initiative to replace an integrated client management system (ICMS) [pdf].
In a statement to iTnews, the spokesperson added: “With a focus on leveraging technology to improve efficiency, support operations, Erin is improving how the department provides services to Queenslanders.
“This ICT program is supporting the work our staff do every day as well as enhancing cross-agency information sharing and collaboration to help keep children and young people safer.”
