India and Pakistan cancel visas of each others’ nationals as tensions rise

India and Pakistan have cancelled visas to each other’s citizens amid rising tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours as India blames Pakistan for a deadly attack by gunmen that killed 26 people, mostly tourists, in disputed Kashmir. Indian authorities today said all visas issued to Pakistani nationals would be revoked with effect from Sunday, adding that all Pakistanis currently in India must leave before their visas expire based on the revised timeline. Adrian Torrens, the man accused of murdering the Central Coast teen, dies in police custody

Police said the 53-year-old was found unresponsive about 4.50pm today in a cell at western Sydney’s Silverwater Correctional Complex. Bites on skeleton’s bones show first evidence of gladiators fighting lions

A skeleton recovered from an intriguing Roman-era cemetery in England may mark the first physical evidence of combat between gladiators and animals, according to new research. The skeleton of a man, who was between the ages of 26 and 35 when he died, was found with bite marks from a large cat — likely a lion — on the pelvis. Boeing chief executive Kelly Ortberg said that he doesn’t expect the US trade war with China to forestall the company’s financial recovery, nor prevent it from reaching aircraft delivery targets with Chinese airlines now refusing to accept Boeing planes.
