Anti-nuclear protesters have derailed Peter Dutton’s announcement of funding to upgrade a sport field in Sanctuary Point, in the seat Gilmore. Two men dead, third fighting for life

Two young men have died and another is fighting for life after a crash between a truck and a car in south-west Sydney late yesterday. Emergency services were called to King Georges Road at Wiley Park about 8.45pm where three men were found trapped inside a BMW sedan. Former Virgin Australia boss Jayne Hrdlicka has announced she will be the new chief executive of liquor, gaming and pubs retailer Endeavour Group at the start of next year. Ms Hrdlicka stepped down from Virgin Australia earlier this year, after a near four-year stint in the job. Bapcor cuts size of ERP estate from 42 to 19 systems

Bapcor, home to automotive brands such as Autobarn and Midas, is cutting dozens of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems from its technology estate. CEO and executive chair Angus McKay told a strategy briefing yesterday that the company had “eliminated or consolidated from 42 ERPs down to 19” at the end of fiscal year 2024.
